Re: spoilerdepot custom spoiler

I've talked to several peeps who have their products and are very happy with them. I personally like the lip spoiler, and if I were to have a spoiler, it would be one of those.

funny, the lip spoiler is more expensive than the wing spoiler.

Re: spoilerdepot custom spoiler

kinda looks like it got shrunk in the wash. Is the factory spoiler too big for you or do you just want something different?

Re: spoilerdepot custom spoiler

i think that the car looks MUCH better with a factory spoiler. The lip spoiler looks ok, and would look AWSOME on some other cars, but i don't think it 'finishes' the rear end as well.

Re: spoilerdepot custom spoiler

i dunno, i kinda want something different. the picture taken with the whole car from the back looks pretty good to me but i'm not sure about from other views of the car, which is why i'm kinda hesitant to buy it, but i agree that the oem spoiler looks pretty good. but i like the idea of the lip spoiler just cuz it's a little different. sort of looks like the end of the trunk of an audi, how it sticks out a little

Re: spoilerdepot custom spoiler

Unless you think it looks awesome, I recommend not getting it. I personally like the wing spoiler, I agree with it finishing out the rear.

Love the stock spoiler...plus I wonder if the lip spoiler is as functional in lowering the cd(drag)...

Re: spoilerdepot custom spoiler

Been waiting for someone to get one of these and show some pics........IMO it looks better on the sedan than the factory wing. What color is your 35S? Mine is DG, if you get it and don't like it I might take it off your hands

Re: spoilerdepot custom spoiler

I'd like to have a lip spoiler if there is a good looking one out there for the sedan.
But I don't really like this one from certain angle, especially the full view from the rear. It looks like a piece of something extra doesn't belong to the G and serves no purpose. (I don't believe lip spoilers in general serves any purpose except for the look.)
IMHO, It also depends on the whole kit as well and how it looks for the whole car, not just the rear. Below is a link with the whole kit and lip spoiler, this IMHO looks really good for the G as a whole, BUT it's for the coupe... Sigh~~

If any of you have seen other lip spoilers out there from this forum, please post.
Merry Christmas everyone!!

Re: spoilerdepot custom spoiler

No spoiler serves it's purpose unless you're approaching 100 MPH and over. I didn't buy the G for it's drag coefficient it's aerodynamics etc, sure it has some wonderful numbers..but they are usless at the normal speeds we drive at. Marketing and sales hype...I bought the '04 G Sedan for the wife because of looks initially, quality and the Infiniti name. Now after 2 months I'm so impressed ....I'm waiting on my coupe...and not for the CG or aerodynamics. How many did buy for the aero hype....not many I hope!!

Re: spoilerdepot custom spoiler

I don't really like it very much, but then I don't care for the factory spoiler either. I like my G's rear end the same as a beautiful woman's, smooth, sleek, and unencumbered by any excess baggage. ; )

got bad new about lip spoiler

I bought this lip spoiler from spoilerdepot.com and it did not work out. The spoiler did not fit flush, the light cover was red instead of white (could be good and bad depending on preferrence) and the mounting hardware was a joke. I took it to a body shop to get advice and they said that they would have to shave it and repaint to fit properly. (I purchased it painted) After inquiring from spoilerdepot, I was told that they don't produce it but that they resell it so they couldn't vouch for the quality. (I guess they produce their other spoilers) So I have now been waiting 2 month + for a refund. Spoilerdepot really doesn't seem to have it together. (I have called countless countless countless times) I really want the spoiler but I doubt I will reorder.
