How should the jack in the trunk be stored in the compartment? I did my break in oil change today and I had to use the factory jack to start off the jacking process. When I was finished and went to put the jack back in the trunk I kinda had a hard time getting it back in properly. Didn't remember the position the jack was in when I first took it out. I think I finally did it but I just want to make sure. I put the jack back in facing upright and slid it up the slot. After I felt the jack was postioned properly all the way up in the slot I turned the **** on the jack a few times to expand it snugly inside the compartment. I also had to use a screwdriver for more leverage to turn the **** a little more for a tight fit. Does this sound okay? Can anyone tell me the proper way the jack should be stored in the trunk? Just a little paranoid I didn't do it right. TIA.

Sounds about right, except you shouldn't need the screwdriver.

The only reason I used the screwdriver was because after I turned the **** by hand and couldn't do it anymore, the jack still had a little wiggle room left. If I tried to move it with my hand there was still a little room for movement. So I grabbed a screwdriver, stuck it in the hole on the ****, and turned the **** just a little bit to tighten up the jack against the compartment. I made sure to be very careful with this since I didn't want to crush anything.
