Accident Debris Hit My Car
I'm driving on Interstate-80 in Northern California last night at about 3 AM and apparently some car hit the median and spun back around but was significantly in the left lane. I was following a brand new Audi TT who smashes in to the car and I swerve out of the way but some parts from the Audi hit my hood and scratch it.
Eventually a few other cars behind me hit the car that was still in the left lane, so I feel fortunate that all I had were a few scratches on my hood.
At this point, I'm not sure what I should do. Should I file a claim with my insurance (i don't know if it would be the Audi's fault or fall under my comprehensive coverage) or just pay for it out of pocket to fix it. How much should it cost to remove the scratch? It looks like it could be professionally buffed out. Will it be worth filing a claim? At this point, I don't think so but I have a very low deductable none the less.
