Today, I found that My G's compass indicated always east.
I brought G to the dealer in Tustin, CA. First time, They said that it would take just 2 minuntes, but a few minutes later, the sevice advieser told me they need to replace the display panel. He ordered the part and said bring my car on next Wednesday. Does anyone have this kind of problem?

I'm not sure if they didn't used the correction procedure or you've got a faulty compass. I can't imagine the service peeps not knowing about it, but you never know. If his diagnosis only took a few minutes, then perhaps they're not aware of it.

So try the correction procedure anyway. It's on or about page 2-8 (Coupe manual, but should be same for Sedan). Pay special attention to the speed requirement when finalizing the procedure. You must not go over 3 mph, and use an open area where there's no-one or nothing around.
When I got my Coupe I had to do this and it fixed it fine.

I thought my compass behaved strangely when I first got the car too.... even after I did the calibration proceedure. After a month or so it seems fine. Just give it a little time and see if it settles in.
