When I bought my 05 G35X, it only came with one smart key/remote. Rather than spending big bucks on a smart spare and have to pay the dealer to reprogram it with the car; I was thinking an inexpensive standard remote with a valet key will work well as a spare setup.
Will a standard G remote work along side a smart key/remote?

 

nope.

 

The reason I ask is because the smart/intelligent key operates with its own special electronic beep when using the door and trunk buttons.
However, when I use the buttons on the remote, it beeps the car horn and flashes lights differently, very similar to other none smart key car remotes.

Those regular G35 remotes are dirt cheap on eBay and with easy setup instructions. I might just give it a try for the heck of it.

 

I've seen this talked about before in previous posts. Search for it and see what comes up, but from what i remember it wont work.

 

it just wont work...really...the intelligent key remote is not that expensive on ebay...$65 bucks shipped..........
