I've just about got the wife convinced to allow me to buy myself a G35 AWD Sedan. :-)

I'm stuck between Brilliant Silver & Twilight Blue (first choice was Carribean Blue but it doesn't seem to be available in the AWD model).

Can anyone who has either of these colors comment on them? I've found a ton of Silver pictures but haven't found any good TB pictures. Any pointers?

Also, it seems as if TB only comes in the lighter leather - correct?

I just bought the G 35X 3 days ago and it is awesome. Twilight blue with willow with every option. Looks and drives great!

 

both are nice. however twilight blue is harder to maintain.

Silver is aesthetically pleasing and practical at the same time. On a hot day, it reflects the sun and keeps your cabin cooler. What color are those sunshades you put over the dasboard? Silver.

Twilight Blue looks dirty sooner, reflects swirls very easily and the willow floor mats gets dirty very easily and quickly. But on the other hand, the TB is a fairly rare color and looks great! You can also get the all weather mats to protect against the interior dirt; there's also clear mats to cover the willow floor mats from exactmats.com.

Silver and Desert Plat sedans are becoming very common. I have DP w/willow myself and I'm seriously considering exactmats.com, (they've got G35 willow interior pics on their webpage). Not only is silver a popular color for G35's but it's popular for all car brands and models. So if you don't like having a common-color car, BS is not for you. On the other hand, you can go 2-3 weeks without washing your silver G, and it still looks clean (gotta wash the wheels though). Silver also keeps your car's interior cooler; of course if you go with the graphite interior, it will heat up very quickly... good for winter, bad for summer.

Pros and Cons on both sides... pick the one you like best!

If your getting the X I'm assuming you're planning on needing it for nasty weather? If that's the case the BS will look better longer. The TB will show the dirt & grime much worse. I have the DG and just had it washed today after 2 weeks of snow and rain. Even though it was very dirty it looked 100 times better than my wife's black T&C.

Silver. Easier to maintain, not as warm in the summer, and less-likely to get into an accident (there's a thread about this). BUT, the question is: What color do YOU like? You're going to be driving it, so its YOU who has to live with whatever you decide. How about a poll?

in NJ, i see a mix of colors, but never see desert platinum.

i was partial to silvers.
to me, i think sedan looks better with rear spoiler, but i also feel most coupes look better without

my mom just picked up a G35x (i'm guessing the "x" means AWD) she got the diamond graphite.

 

I've had my G35X for a little over a week. I bought it in the Diamond Graphite and the Graphite interior. We've had light snow and rain a few days over the past week and the car has stayed somewhat clean. I agree with another person that replyed to your post. The light color interior can get dirty, especially if you have to deal with a lot of snow. Two cars ago I had a BMW 328i with a light grey interior. The car looked super classy, but it got very dirty during the winter. Dark interiors do handle dirt very well, but they get hot in the summer.

Twiligth blue... Blue on day... Purple on sunset... and black at nigth. For me is the perfect color...

 

The bottom line is get the color that will make you the most happiest and proud of your G. I personally went for Twilight Blue with Willow. Is it high maintenance to maintain? Yes. But do I love it? Absolutely, yes.

 

I don't know who told you that the G35X doesn't come in Carribrean Blue, but they were mistaken. I placed an order for Dec CPO, Jan build, Feb ship, and Mar delivery for that exact car! Here are the specs for my order: B16/Graphite, PR1, NAV, SGD, SPL, WOD, & TMB. Perhaps you should check into this a bit further?

 

Funny no-one mentioned the color I am getting good old fashion ‘BLACK’ there is nothing better than a clean black car with chrome shoes! Graphite interior also. I know I know black is hard to take care of but I have had about 6 of them now and after have a SUV this little G35x will be a breeze.

 

I got Brilliant Silver, the blues just didn't do it for me.
