This has been debated a year ago, check this thread:

Unfortunately, what he stated is true. The G35x 05 is using the smaller
brake/rotor from 04 sedan. The 05 non X sedan received a upgrade.
You can't always trust "news". Read your owner doc & look up the specs.
I believe 06x finally received brake upgrade, but I am not sure. What I am, sure is that 05x has smaller brakes than 05 non X sedan. I know that because I upgraded my 05 X to wilwood BBK.
A quote from Gee35x prior post:
For your info I looked at my 04 brochure and for the sedan it shows;
Front 11.7 x 0.9 inch ventilated discs.
Rear 11.5 x 0.6 inch ventilated discs.
For the 05 Sedan G35X;
Front 11.7 inch ventilated disc
Rear 11.3 inch ventilated disc.
So the 05 and 04 G35X fronts are the same diameter

that sucks!!! my girlfriend has the car right now, when she gets back I'm going to do some snooping around in my front wheels.
I have Richi fsb, Eibach rear adj. sway, and 04 Maxima SE rims&tires 245x45x18. The rear sway and bigger tires really help the car conrer better. As for the fsb I only feel like I can steer the car faster that's all.
