5AT 2003 owners: Have you found a tranny dipstick

Since I'm one of the lucky few 2003 owners, my 5AT did not come with a tranny dipstick. All it has is a cap affixed by a 10mm bolt which serves as a filler tube. It's my understanding that the later 5ATs did indeed have dipsticks in this filler tube. Have any of you 2003 5AT owners installed tranny dip sticks so that you can actually check your ATF level/condition.

If you find a dipstick, let us know. I would like to get one as well. A few weeks ago, i tried taking my car to a Nissan dealer for the tranny flush and they refused b/c it had no dipstick. They couldn't guarantee the tranny fluid amount w/out the dipstick.

NOOBIE! Dave, from what I gather, the early 03s in the USA came sans dipstick. Canada 03 owners get them. I've heard you can order them but I never got around to doing it. What we get is a cap but no stick. Wonderful! Weight savings! haha

Nissan dealer pulled the tranny stick off of a 350z to check mine

He was puzzled why it did not come with its own

Well it's good to know that the tranny dipsticks do work in the 2003 5ATs. I guess I'll have to get a price for dipstick....if they even sell it.

I've used the dipstick from my 05 when checking the level in a couple 03's i've worked on.

I can't seem to find my A/T dipstick either. Does the 04 come with one or do I have to buy one also?
