ECU manufacturer

Does anyone know who the manufacturer/supplier is for the ECU in our cars? Is it the same throughout the Nissan/Infiniti lineup?

A buddy of mine owns a tuning shop and he was contemplating getting involved with Nissan/Infiniti (does mainly german cars now) and just wanted to know some information.
