Ztube and Pop Charger Service Light

Yes I know another one of these questions. I've searched and read most of the responses but cannot get a definite answer. Everything runs smooth and the light was not on for the first hour or so of driving with the pop charger. Then all of a sudden the Service engine soon light came on . I checked all connections. Everything is tight and connected. Does the car just need to get used to it? Do I really need to reset the ECU? Some of the responses say that is not necessary. Thanks

It is not necessary to reset ESU if you DONT get a chack engine light. but in your case you need to reset it to see if the check engine light goes away. did you also check the connection to the MAF and make sure thats plugged in tight.
I did this install on my car and a few friends cars and never got a check engine light.

I would say there is a vacuum leak somewhere, check connections in the intake tube, make sure the MAF is plugged in correctly and everything is air tight.

You might also want to check your gas cap and see if it's on tight. I had that happen to me a couple times before, and the SES light would go away after a while (I've heard after 100 start-ups).

If it does not go away take your car to a local parts store and have them see what the code is.

I got the same light when installed my intake and I started the car before I connected the sensor. Make sure the car isnt started without the sensor(s) being connect. but do what ttrank suggest.

Ok the light went off yesterday while driving. Yeah teh first thing I did was check the gas cap, wasn't that. About a hour into driving yesterday it went off and has stayed off. I guess the car did have to get used to the change. Damn I feel much better now.
