Tire Recommendations...please help!

I currently have Bridgestone Turanza EL42's. The dimensions are P215/55R17. Does anyone have any recommendations on new tires that would perform well? As far as weather conditions go I'm in Houston TX. Also, my budget is up to $150/tire. Thanks!

P.S. - If you know where to buy them that info would be good as well...I'm probably planning on going to like a NTB/Discount Tires.

I like my Yokohama Avid V4S's. I got em at tirerack.com for around $115 a piece I think.

I really like my Kumho Ecsta SPT's, very good performance for the money.

I second the ECSTA SPs. Just put a set of 18s on my track wheels.

I third the Kuhmo's. Great tire at a great price.

I have Michelin Energy MXV4 S8, V-rated, $139 per tire. I got the tires installed at the local Discount Tire (with lifetime mounting, wheel balancing, road hazard and tire rotations included). IMO these tires are the quietest I've experienced, have excellent treadwear and tread pattern, can withstand extreme dry/wet conditions, and are the perfect choice for the G35 sedan.

We just put Yokohama YK520's on my GF's car and I have been very impressed with them.

i would disagree with their performance aspect..
yes they are one of the quietest tires.. but they can easily slip with the power of the g35~

I have the Michelin Energy tires too. They are wearing well, but they are much more slippery than the Bridgestone Tauranza's that were on the car when I got it.

I have Z rated 18" Yokohama Decibel 2's on the rear, very quiet, very sticky on the turns, but yeah they break loose sometimes when it's wet. I have yet to get even a decent chirp when it's dry though, I like them.
