Color match of Nismo Kit

So after installing my Nismo kit, I noticed that my side skirts are way to dark compared to the rest of the car. And now that i did notice this it really bugs me. I know that the color may fade a little on the car its a 03 but it seems like its couple shades darker than all other parts. My rear is almost dead on, front is very close too but sides look way off. Just wondering if you guys had similar issues. Ill try to get some good shoots of it.

Looks to me like they made a mistake and sent the rare Seragetti (sp) Sand color.

I bought my car the same exact way with the sides a shade darker than the rest of the car. I think that's normal.

It is not uncommon to see that happen but talk to Tony and see if they might be able to get you another set before you try to repaint them.

If you have to paint then I would make sure a good shop does them and adds in enough flex agent. They will be fine that way. The problem is more with trying to get paint to stick to the oem sides due to the slick surface. Many have also done that with good results.

It's really a pain in the **** to get the side sills to match. My car was in the body shop for just over 1 week trying to get as close to our factory paint as possible they actually finished the paint work on my rear quarter panel (fixed the dent) and then sanded it all down and repainted it because the paint was still noticeably off. My stillen sides have tons of flex agent and the color is still a slight sade darker than my own factory paint while it was in the body shop though they removed them and repainted them again eventhough I told them I could live with the paint not matching perfectly on the sills well second time was the charm they actually got the paint to match up completely with the factory color. I wouldn't get the Nismo sides repainted I would ask for another set and pray the second set matches up better.

serengatti sand is an 05+ color, the nismo kit is an 03-04 part, I doubt they made a mistake. It's just hard to imagine they'd match since they are painted in batches that are potentially years apart. I doubt they will be able to do anything for you at riverside....it's just the risk of buying parts that come prepainted. My DP front and rear are almost dead on match, since i just painted my stock sides, I don't have a problem. Looks like the only way to go is to get them repainted unless Riverside Infiniti is willing to let you try out another set. Good luck

The reason i wanted to repaint was also because they had been damaged during shipping, two small gashes o n the driver side. but the paint shop quoted me 500 bucks for the sides and a roof spoiler. I cant really justify that right now. Tony said this is pretty standard, i just think that is a diffrent batch of paint and its off a shade

There is a silver 03.5 here at my work with the nismo sides and they are a bit darker too. The way they reflect the light at a different angle makes them look a lot further off than they really are.
