i got a 2006 loaner and really like the leather on the door handles and arm rest and would like to have these on my 2004 sedan

The Arm rest is way to big on the 05 and 06

They wont fit, but I've been thinking about swapping the entire door panel...

WORD, I hear you on this one. Whenever I've gotten an 05/06 loaner car, I've always loved that little minor detail. I've thought about it before and what seems like the easiest fix is to replace the entire inner door panel w/arm rest.

It has become my impression that I need to replace my 2003 Sedan with a 2006 or 2007 sedan

LOL

Just go get a loaner and tell them you like it and will just trade them.

it seems after reading these replies that it is not possible to replace arm rests...

"replace the entire inner door panel w/arm rest" seems to be an option I guess but this sounds expensive???

it certainly would be nice to have that leather on the arm rest man...

Or, go get a loaner and swap out the door panels with the ones on your car. I'm sure they wouldn't notice

I posted about this a year or so ago... the answer is no you can not swap arm rests.. yes you can swap door panels and yes they are expensive $1100 each if I remember correctly... I went to about 5 auto upholstery shops to see if they could make the existing plastic POS into padded leather - 2 of the 5 said yes... the other 3 said no because it's molded plastic... I haven't had the ***** to let either of that say they can 2 try it.

It's a losing proposition I'm afraid - but the padded leather armrests are about the only thing I like better on the 05-06 than my 04... I still might try to have a shop do something custom one of these days.
