Opinion on DP w/ Carbon Fiber

Hey guys,

Need your opinion. Did some searching on CF Hood and found this one.

http://www.raceonusa.com/index.asp?P...OD&ProdID=2465

RACEON Carbon Fiber OEM Hood > Infinity G35 03-06 > 4-Door
$539.10

How do you guys think it would look on a DP sedan. I think kind of funny. Can anyone photoshop it for me?

If any of you have read my posts about my iccident on 287 I need a new hood and it's going to cost me $1250 for hood painting and repainting on fenders for blend. If I get the CF hood that would save me $600. Thoughts?

it's kinda ricer looking but that's just my opinion. It will also hurt the resale value when you want to sell the car. But it's all in the eye of the beholder, if you like it go for it

That's my concern, I really don't want too much of a ricer look. I'm already Chinese and wizzing by people in the G I don't need more attention.

It'd be different but I don't know about it on the sedan. I think the coupes could get away with it.

are you buying for the look, or the weight savings?

IMO...

if for looks, unless your car is black, youll get tired of the look rather quickly

if for weight, match it and be done.

For the look really. I can get a new OEM hood for $400 bucks. It's really the cost of painting then match painting on the fenders that's costing a lot. If I can leave it CF then that would save a lot. I just think it would look a bit weird.

Is that even possible? I thought the whole front end changed in '05. A hood for an '03-04 shouldn't fit an '05-06, unless there's some considerable gaps somewhere....

No it's not possible.

What year is your car, going off the pics that one will only fit the 03/04 unless they also have one for the 05/06.

That's a misprint on their website. It's for the 03-04. I have a 03.

In that case I like the style but I would paint the sides or something to make it look more finished.
