Not sure if you want your wheels to look like hub caps, another possible downside is brake cooling and brake dust build up with those covers on.

That's not new or different!

These dust covers came on the market about the same time as disc brakes.
Having been in the brake business we found they caused major heat buildup
that in some instances caused premature wear on pads and bearings........
plus they are big time ugly or worse!

My ex's mother has them on her G sedan. They look so cheap.

The Audi A6 came with those as an option in the older years. Many of us running bigger calipers and such wouldn't even have the space for that to clear under our wheels anyway.

Just change to ceramic pads. Little or no brake dust and probably cheaper as a bonus.

I have Hawk HPS pads, they work very well and don't give off much dust at all.

If you want very little dust go with Axxis Metal Master pads. They are semi-metallic and dust very little. They are just as good as the Hawk pads for the street.

Besides being ugly, they do cause major heat build-up. I bought one for a 1997 BMW M3 a while back and after driving a little, there was SMOKE coming out of the tires! I returned those POS as fast as I could.
