Cool question to anyone who know how to take apart the G

Hey everyone, i'm in the process of trying to replace my side view mirror (passenger side) and i was told i need to remove my door panel in order to do so. I tried doing so yesterday but was unsuccessful. I removed the 3 bolts (two in the door grip and one behind the square piece inside the door handle). and tried pulling and tugging but it wouldn't budge. Does anyone have a step by step diy to removing the door panel with pictures or know how to remove the side view mirror step by step? I also tried unscrewing the bolts beneath the mirror but couldn't get any of my tools to reach under there. Thanks in advance!

you removed the correct ones...now grip from the bottom of the door and just pull...the bottom pops out easier they are held by push pins. after that you can see the side view mirror. good luck.

He moved all the screws necessary.. only 3. Must pull the door panel from the bottom to pop the pins loose. Then left the door panel up. The are two tabs you must pop off on the front side of the door panel near the door jam as well.

Any chance of breaking/damaging the clips? I need to do this as well to remove some broken window glass.

^ These clips won't break. They simply pop out from their mounting holes on the door. I've done it before when the passenger window wasn't auto-closing correctly and I had to get to the reset switch.

hey guys, i removed the door panel, but just a warning to Castro and any others, some of the clips didn't come out with the panel, but remained in the door. You have to pull them out to place them back in the panel before putting the panel back on, but they're extremely hard to pull off because the plastic clips are fragile and don't come off easily.

Yeah thanks Hong and Lexusk, I'll probably take care of it this weekend. I broke some door clips before, very annoying.
