Hey guys, I have an '04 G35 sedan and i don't like the black center dash (the part that houses the radeo and buttons for the climate control and such). I was wondering if it was possible to switch it out for the oem aluminum part or even better, the '05 dash trim. I don't want to change EVERYTHING, just that center part, the black is so boring and it leaves scuff marks so easily. If this is doable...does anyone have pics and links to where i can get the parts? I did all the searches but couldn't come up with anything...thanks!

 

you can upgrade to the 03.5 -04 sport package finish which was the "titanium". It's just a plastic painted silver but IMO looks way better than the black. No you cannot change to the 05+ interior because that is a redesign and not even the same radio, havc controls anymore. You might want to hit up the local junk yard to see if they have any pieces, or see if any members wants to trade + cash for it. It is very doable, good luck!

 

Just get a DD kit and get a new headunit and do it that way.

 

i don't think i want to replace the whole unit with a DD unit...seems a lot more complicated haha but thanks for the advice! Socal...do you know any sites that might be selling the part?? Thanks!!!!

can you even change the whole dash at all?

 

i'm not trying to change the whole dash...just the part that encases the volume buttons and radio stations, etc.

 

i was told that you can change the whole dash if you really wanted to
