Coupe Mid Pipe / Z Tube / Pop Charger Review *Pic*
considering there's not much to the coupe midpipe would it be just as easy, and / or cost effective to just have a muffler shop custom make a mid pipe with a universal resonator ? Is there anything specific about the G35 coupes resonator in that midpipe that makes the desired coupes sound ?
maybe even have larger diameter piping used also ? or would that make it louder ?

Other members have swapped out the OEM mid section with a custom mid-pipe using a Magnaflow pre-muffler. Its been a while since I came across the thread so I forget what the review was on the sound of that setup (i.e. "sounds more like the coupe")
If you go with bigger pipes, make sure the smaller diameter pipe is flared out to reduce the step down from a large size pipe. (does that make sense?). What can happen if this is not done is you could wind up with an annoying rasp.

went by an exhaust shop at lunch and it looks like it would be about $100 for them to cut out my factory resonator and weld in a small one like the coupes. Problem is I don't know the dimensions of the coupes to match it. I guess since the price is about the same I may as well get a factory take off and know I have the right part and not have my factory pipe cut up in case I ever wanted to put the factoy resonator. Cant imagine why I would but who knows...
