Stock wheels, why so expensive.

Stock wheels, why so expensive.
My wife, drove my G recentley ( the first and last time she ever will) and hit a curb. Suffice too say the passenger front & rear wheels are chewed up.
I called up Infiniti too check pricing on factory wheels in the event that I couldn't get these repaired and they quoted me $570 plus tax per wheel?
Why so expensive?,,,I've since put a set of aftermarket wheels on, but was amazed at the cost of the OEM?

Re: Stock wheels, why so expensive.
My G came with chrome wheels, damn, that was a $1600 option, couldn't believe it, but I liked that, so I just left them, that was actually what caught my eye about this car, if I ever had a problem, I would most likely go for aftermarket!

Re: Stock wheels, why so expensive.
You can at just about any day of the week buy a set of cosmetically new 4 sedan sport rims for about $600 on eBay.
I have a set of sedan sport rims plus all-season tires wrapped up and sitting in my garage. Only 10 miles on them, but I just can't bring myself to sell them at the going eBay rate.
