Thanks much, I really wanted to keep the sport/lux balance in check. I'm not so into an overly agressive ricer look that's slammed w/ all sorts of flashiness. At least not for this car. Besides I have to pull up to rich client's homes at times and don't want them to get the wrong idea.

The mechanic told me that the rotors maybe warped and need to be machined. However I recalled some threads a while back about people complaining about warped rotors and vibration. The consesus is that the rotors don't actually get warped, and the vibration is coming from deposits of pad material on the rotors that need to be removed. I followed the bed in procedure as best as I could and the vibration is mostly gone. I probably need to make a few more passes. So give that a try first.
Thank a lot for the heads up and info. Wow, pretty extensive procedure. I just read some of it and I'm not even sure where I can do these 10 hard stops. Is it possible for it be too late to do this if I've driven the car for a while already?

I was kinda bummed, and not looking forward to spending more esp after dumping so much in one shot. It seems to be improving a bit, tho. My mechanic actually put the old pads on the front clean off the rotors and minimize transfer, then he put on the new pads (Axxis ULT). I gotta go check out the Stoptech website. The reason I thought they might be warped is cuz, I too got a set from a 350z. The rears had only 8k but the fronts had 13K w/ track use, cuz the guy took them off his Z and put them on his 240SX track car. I figured maybe they took too much of a beating.

Thanks again, great info!

Car looks great

I think the picture of the craned neck girl was referring to your angled shots of your car (first two pics), you have to tilt your head to look at the car normally

The stock coupe sizes/tires which is 225/40/19 front and 245/40/19 rear. The rears are currently rubbing if I hit a road undulation at higher speeds or bad bumps. I wanted to run the proper 255/35 in the rears when these tires go or even 265. I going to have to look into possibly shaving the wheel a bit at the hub and/or a fender roll (or cut, based on my shop's recommendation) just to fix the current problem and even more so if I ever want a wider tire.

Thanks, O I C, lol. Ok should I get some straight shots for u guys? More shots will be coming in the future anyways, cuz my bro wants to take his 335i out for some scenic shots. So were going to go out and take some good shots of our cars. His car might get submitted for a magazine.

I forgot too mention that, after owning the car from day 1 for over 3 1/2 years, it's obvious that I'm a bit mod shy. It's just a matter of time till I get an MD spacer and possibly an intake (more for sound), but the only logical step after that is going FI. Honestly I'm not sure if I'm up to it, I'm too afraid of messing w/ the engine. Not to mention lack of funds.

I think my mods (except for the brakes) are the kinds of mods, mod shy people like myself might find pleasing to do. I'm just scared of messing w/ powertrain.

Is there any type of hynosis that you can recommend to conquer my fears? lol

If you wanna go the cosmetic route, I'll list a few:

- Parking light upgrades (e.g. PIAA, LEDs). I'm actually gonna pick up a pair of PIAA lights after work today
- Switch the tailights to the 05-06 tailight assembly (including the reverse pairs).
- While you're at it with the tails, get some tailight overlays from BATMobile
- Grille (some options out there including the Gialla sport mesh-style, UTR, painted OEM, etc.)
- Debadge the rear emblems to your liking
- Chrome side pillars

BTW thanks for getting back to me regarding your suspension mods. You sure know your stuff out there!

nice... but I think it's funny that the title says: "finally got all my mods done"... you're on a roll and I have a feeling you've just started - definitely not done We all know there is never an end!

Please post impressions of the GT Spec bar... I realize it's hard to tell since you installed the same time as sway bars - and the other mods... but lately I’ve been interested in their products, your impressions would be great - thanks

Good idea!

I've been wanting this for a while, but I can't justify the cost, they seem to be pretty expensive. If I can find some cheap I'm on it, unless there are some generous donors out there

I'm not sure I'd like this on my car, I'd like it on either very dark cars or light light like IP or BS
- Grille (some options out there including the Gialla sport mesh-style, UTR, painted OEM, etc.)
A UTR grille is definately one of the higher priority cosmetic mods I've been wanting. Painted DG on the frame to match with a black center. How much are they anyways, are the ebay knock-offs worth considering?
- Debadge the rear emblems to your liking
I've thought about this also, but thought it might be late to do. Isn't it something you should do earlier due to the paint?
- Chrome side pillars
I've never been a big fan of crome, but after looking at the car I could see how it might complete the look of the door framing. It almost looks like it was forgotten at the factory. I might play around with this. I've also looked at the carbon fiber ones.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

No problem, and thanks. I don't consider myself anywhere near an expert w/ this stuff, esp in light of some of the great minds here on the site. It took a long time of reading and deciding what I wanted to do before I pulled the trigger. The current state my car has reached is a result of all the great info everyone here has contributed. Just tryin to do my part.

STOP INSTIGATING! lol, my wallet and wife will not appreciate it. When I got the car back I said to her, "look at the car, how do you like it?" to which she replied, "What's different about it", sheesh. I got a few more minor items in mind for the (hopefully) near future.

Please post impressions of the GT Spec bar... I realize it's hard to tell since you installed the same time as sway bars - and the other mods... but lately I’ve been interested in their products, your impressions would be great - thanks.

Understanding where the susp and sways come into play all I can say so far is that the direct effect seems to be in the chassis. It feels tighter as if the car were built a bit stronger. Perhaps much like the newer 2nd gen w/ the additional weld points. The main area I'm noticing a difference is in body flex as others have reported. The car feels flatter/tighter in twists and turns. I don't think if I had done it alone, that it would have felt like it made a HUGE difference, but definitely a welcome one. So, if you're going to get it, don't expect the world, however do expect a tighter more pleasing feel over all. It's not that expensive and easy to put on so, therefore I highly recommended if you like driving esp on winding roads.

I'll be getting the mid brace soon as well and I'm expecting to feel more from that. I'll keep you all posted when I do.
