Will a 2004 Maxima oversize K&N oil filter fit the G35?

looks like it will after looking at the part numbers on the K&N site.

http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...Prod=33-2031-2

did a search for both and listed 33-2031-2 as the part number. G35 had another size though I dont know what that one was for.

Yes. I used to have a K&N panel from a late maxima on the G.

Um, guys, he was asking about a K&N oil filter, not an air filter.

IP05G35, according to the K&N website, both the G35 and Maxima used the same oil filter, part #HP-1008. I'm just curious why you didn't look it up on the K&N website?

Exactly what size (part #) is the "oversize you're talking about?

The G coupe uses a 6607... what's the oversize for this?

yes they will. I have used the Mobil 1 filter for the Max and for the Frontier and they fit/work fine.

Isa, the filter you want is for the M45 or FX45. Knowing that will help you in the future looking for filters. It has the same inlet size as the male part on the 3.5L motor. The stem is the same size on the V8, but you get the benefit of more filtering area. I've run the bigger filters for 2 years, and a 5+ quart jug of oil will fill my car right to the full line with them installed. That's a double win in my book.

And of course you're welcome.

Back on topic, I use the Max-size filter, too. Wix 51356.

(Do I get some Chica lovin' too? )

lol Wayne. I have mad respect for her, she is off the charts with her car knowledge and seems to be a very level-headed lady. Too bad she lives so far away.

I ordered the 51356 maxima version as it's slightly longer. Price is only $4.31 each. Shipping for 6 was about $11. No tax. So cost was actually about $6.10 each. If you go to Napa's store, they are $7.10 each + tax. If you order more than 6, of course the price per each would go down.

Napa's gold line is made by Wix, which is a highly respected and proven filter maker. I think this is a great alternative to the $10-$11 Mobil 1 filters/K&N filters I see you guys using.

Also Walmart has Mobil 1 5W30 for $23.xx per 5qt container. Pretty good price vs the $5.xx-$6 per qt prices I see elsewhere. I like the 5qt containers too.
