My friend was driving his dads S500 and we were doin donuts up in Porter Ranch and it came to my mind that we should race. So I have a bone stock G35 just lowered and the S500 also stock. We raced twice and from the start we were even up to 30 then I pull away to about 2 1/2 car lenghts we got up to 90-100 and it stayed that way.

good kill. i was afraid of those, I guess I didn;t realize that Mercedes only put a 302 hp engine in to move the 4100+ lb car.

 

The S500 is an easy kill against the G35. Now if we are talking the S55, S600, or S65 AMG, then you are hosed. The S65 has a 612bhp engine with something like 720lbs-ft of torque from 1,400rpms!

 

Yeah, and its 250k and not even out yet. Nice work on beating the S500 though.

I was just toying with a S55 AMG V8 Kompressor on the Chicago's hwy 290. The guy was on his cell and wasn't really getting into it, but let me say WOW. when he gassed it the cartook off like it had a solid fuel rocket on the back of it. Don't wory about the S500, but don't embarrace yourself in the presence of the S55Amg

 

While on the topic of boat luxury cars, I dropped a 740 on friday in light traffic. My only thought during the whole thing, why would you be racing a 740.

the 740, that has a 350hp 5.0 V8 right? It is a boat though. I took one on in my 2k2 Maxima, but he was an old guy (in 60s) and his wife was yelling at him from the passanger seat. So he gave up at about 50mph.

nice i love beating sl500's or s500's, theyre a hard kills tho.
from a stop all you have to do on the benz is to stomp on the pedal and let the automatic do the rest.

they were meant for luxury cruising. it performs pretty good for the weight it carries, especially on the highways where it was meant to shine.
