Car "died" coming home from a meet today!
I've heard a bunch of G drivers complain about this. I'm almost positive the problem was traced back to their aftermarket air intakes. And I think most of them had a popcharger....I think.
Could be a loose cable or connection when you installed the pop charger and was putting everything back together. Maybe the connection didn't completely come undone until now--had a similar experience with my previous maxima, except that was because of a cut electric wire.
yea true. well we'll see cuz i disconnected the battery last night for about an hour and it reset the ecu. the light never came on and is still not showing up. ill wait til it shows signs of a problem again to take it to the dealer. if its only the MAF then its not a major worry.
your wrong the maf is very important on how ur car runs it keeps the a/f ratio at a correct ratio. If that is not functioning properly then u might be running rich aka wasting gas so ....
****....so i have done maybe 1 thing out of 10 right just trying to keep going and not have to deal with the problem. shame on me. well the car seems to be running exactly the same but i know thats no indicator. ill wait for the light to come back as im sure it will if theres a problem

Dude why take a risk, just make a appointment at IOCC & explain them what happen, and have them put a new MAF it's a very common problem therefore dealership won't give you any hard time if that's what you are worrying about.
alright then thats what ill do. you think IOCC will give me problems about the popcharger and if so shawn, should i put stock back on for now. if only this wouldve happened while i was at the damn meet, lol. it would be fixed with some MAF flux capacitor sensor by now..lol
Have you checked all the fittings on your intake yet? I suggest taking the whole intake system off and reinstalling everything again to make sure you don't have a vacuum leak. The smallest leak behind the MAF sensor will cause huge problems and if the leak is large enough, the car won't run. That's a fact. Have you checked to make sure the vacuum tube on the underside of the intake tube is still connected? About the connector to the MAF or the throttle body. Look for the obvious fixes before spending time and money at the dealership.
