410 miles on one tank!!!

I know I am not the first one to do it, but I was happy. I went up north for the weekend and got 23.69 mpg at 80mph. I was hoping for 25-26 but I guess that is unrealistic.

I filled it up all the way before the tip and reset my tripodometer. I refilled at 410 miles with 17.3 gallons of gas. So it came out to be close to 24 mpg.

Not bad. A/C? I usually see 27+ mpg doing about 70-75

yep, that's another thing. I did have the A/C on since my newborn was in the car. So two adults, plus a trunk loaded with gear for the trip. All things considered 24 mpg is not bad.

Just did the same thing. Went down to Socal to pick up a bumper. Got 400 out of a tank of gas and still had a little under a 1/4 tank left. A/C on and cruise control set at 78mph.

Very nice. I had a 400 mile road trip this weekend but I kept it around 90-95 and got ~21ish.

Best ever was nearly 30mpg (~72mph) with two adults, child, and beach gear in the trunk going from Atlanta to Jacksonville in 90+ degree heat last year. Usually I see 27-28 in all highway driving.

L.A. to Vegas

Half tank from L.A. to Vegas last week going about 85-95...I was very impressed. I had another half tank to drive around the strip.

Best I got was 418 miles with 80% left in the tank. Calculated out to 26.5 mpg, and during that tankful I drove 90% highway / 10% city (A/C on most of the time on highway, and no A/C in the city).

+1

I drove from LA to SF this weekend and managed 26 mpg @ 80 mph. I wanted to save gas but I think 70 to 80 is a good compromise.

In the city was another story, I only got 14 mpg.
