How much did you pay @ your dealership for your brakes service?
I need to change @ least the front rotors/pads..
Trying to figure out if it's worth it for me to DIY.. I could.. but don't want to try to save only $100, but waste my time and get dirty.. also i live in a APT

I asked for a quote for changing the pads (front and back) and was quoted around $650!!!
That's just the pads, who know how much if they needed to do something with the rotors. "stealership" sounds about right to me!
Go buy your own pads (got mine for about $100) and bring it to any qualify mechanic or shop and it would cost less than half as much as a stealership.

Infinity wanted to charge me $700 for the front. I ended up having a "friend" do the work at significant savings, however I got "OEM equivelants," and and some beat-up rims. Did not make me feel warm and fuzzy, if you know what I mean. Hope this helps.

My dealership wanted $270 for just my rear brakes and that did not include turning the rotors if they were warped. I ended up lucking out and good a real good mechanic at the local pep boys. Got the rears replaced for $89 with the stock pads I ordered for $39 brining the grand total to $128. While my mechanic was changing the pads he even pointed out a leaking shock which Infiniti replaced under warranty...who says you can't get good service at a local pep boys.

I got mine done with some other services at a local wheel and tire place. I brought all the parts and they just did the install. I paid $220 for all brake pads replaced, new set of rims mounted and balanced, and 350Z suspension installed.

Seriously, jacking the car up takes longer than the brake change.

Local Import Shop charged me $130 to change all four brake pads and to inspect my breaks. They said they ordered the Pads from Nissan Vs. Infiniti which knocks off some money for the same exact part. Dealership wanted alot more. ALOT more.
