Well I found the BITCH that hit my car and had no insurance. My wife immediatley got in the bitches face and started wagging her finger then we called the cops and she had an old lady in the car and said she had to take the lady home. My wife wouoldn't let her leave till the cops arrived. They got there and the lady started to cry but she didn't fool us and we told the cop that she gave the other officer false info and her home location and insurance. Well turns out she really doesn't have any insurance but we don't care we just wanted a lil justice. She will be cited so were just happy about that, serves her right that STUPID FVCKING BITCH!!!!

Maybe I can shed a little light on this subject. I have investigated over 300 traffic collisions in less than 3 years. If someone doesn't have proof of insurance with them at the scene, they get a ticket for it 16028(c)VC. The fine is about $1500. If they show up at court and prove to the judge they did have insurance at the time, the judge dismisses the violation and refunds all but $10. Our policy is if they hand us an expired insurance card or have the policy name and number written on a napkin, we take it as proof. Welcome to California. You have all the hippie liberal democrats to thank for that. It's not our job to question validity of proof of insurance. We have no way to check to see through any database if someone has insurance on file. Some insurance companies can now report electronically to the DMV that you do have insurance but this is basically only for renewing vehicle registration. But who knows what has happened in the time someone registered their vehicle and the time they crashed. They could have been hooked for DUI or not payed their premium. The DMV will suspended driver's licenses if someone gets their insurance certificate cancelled. So the best thing we as officers can do to help is to always cite someone whether it's out of a crash or just a traffic stop for not having proof. Like I tell all my parties in a traffic collision, you pay your insurance company a ton of money, it's time to put them to work and earn the premiums you have been paying for many years.
