Fuel gauge
Re: Fuel gauge
I had the same problem and took it into the dealer. The dealer tested right/left gas sending units and left gas sending unit proved to be defective. So they swapped it out with a brand new one and re-tested it to confirm it's working correctly.
You might want to go test your sending units too.
On a side note, I'm still fighting with rattles...I'm thinking of buying a foam tape and just insulating the doors myself. Had anyone done this? Thanks.

I have done all four doors on mine. There was a thread detailing
how to eliminate rattles and such in the doors, and I think there is one
in the DIY section. The speaker wires need to be taped down in
all the doors. I did that with foam insulation tape from Home Depot.
Also need to secure the tweeter wires. All these wires tend to vibrate
against the interior of the door. Then there are a coupe of dealer
TSBs for the door rattles. Mine is rattle free at the moment.
By the way. I noticed that when I fill my tank full, the needle is a
hair above the full mark.

Re: Fuel gauge
I have a "plastic sounding" rattle near my passenger door, but mine is a '04, that TSB says built before March '02, I took it to the dealer yesterday, for service, and they checked it, said they tightened a regulator bolt, but the damned rattle is still there, and if anything, is louder now, I think mine is in the door panel somewhere, but not sure this TSB is it, you would think, once they found the problem, they would put the door together differently, I took mine back to the dealer this afternoon, he went for a spin with me, he says it sounds more like it's in the dash, now I have to take it back again, now of course, on my way home, it seems to have stopped LOL!
