Yesterday I drove my G35 Sedan until near empty. The needle
was below the empty mark and approaching the E. When I
filled up, I had 340 city (Houston) miles on it. The pump
clicked off at 19.25 gallons. Whew! that was close. The G35
has a 20 gallon tank for sure.

It was close one day last summer. I got to the fill station almost empty............and i mean empty..
It took 75 litres to fill which is about 19.8 of your gallons.
That may not mean you could do the same, and I wouldn't recommend cutting it that close without at least carrying a couple gallons in the trunk.
