I take the long way home through Concord when I need to get the G serviced.
Havent done a G meet yet but look forward to one in the spring/summer. Whenever the fam lets papa get out of the house and other priorities [img]/w3timages/icons/laugh.gif[/img]. We should hook up sometime or at least keep in touch. I will PM you with my contact info.

Take this Service Bulletin in with you and they can pad up your doors. I had the same rattle issue as skeleton_cru did, took it in, they "tightened" stuff up and it hasnt come back YET. This was before I found the above service bulletin.
I have seen the DIY for adding the insullation somewhere on this site. Sorry I dont have the link. I would suggest seeing if the dealer will handle it for you first.

okay, so like this is off the subject, but i am confused, how much is an oil change from the dealership? 25? 40? cause i go to Peninsula Infiniti for my oil changes and i walk about 50 bucks poorer everytime. and do i have control over what kind of oil i get at the dealership?? i sometimes question whether or not they are ripping me off since i am a girl whose a lil too excited about her car. hmm......

 

It varies from dealership to dealership... from about 25 to about 50. You should occassionally get coupons from them in the mail, too. My dealership allows me to bring my own oil in, and they knock a few bucks off the price. The only time I let them change it, though, was the one free oil change they offered me when they sold me the car. I do it myself. You can find a local mechanic to do it for less than the dealer.

 

At Niello the regular oil change was $25 I think, but with the Syntec it's $40.

 

I went to the dealer in San Diego for 15K service, and they asked me $297 for the service. It included the following.
1. oil service
2. battery service
3. rotating & balancing tires
4. wheel alignment
5. replace in cabin micro filter
I think that it is rip off.
So, I just did oil service for $36 and went to Discounted Tires. They charged me just $26 for rotating & balancing tires. I ordered the micro filter from Grubb infiniti for $29.99.
I don't think that I need alignment and battery service at this time. So I spent just $92 for 15K service.

I just had my service done yesterday, 3750, they don't really give you a break down of what they check, next time I will ask for one! I think my dealer is going to have to be hiring an additional service writer, they just have one now, he seems a tad overworked!

One interesting thing I forgot about. When they opened the compartment where the jack and jack tools were stored they found that my jack tools had fallen into the fender and out of reach. They had to retrieve them with a magnet. This could have been big trouble had I gotten a flat. The jack tools are now stored with the spare.
