How to tell if seats have heaters in them?

What do I look for in a seat to know if it's heated or not. My car does not have heated seats, atleast not the buttons. When I took my center console off during dynamating, I found the wire that would lead to the heat switches. Is it possible (as someone told me) that all seats are heated, the extra option is simply the switches themselves? I dunno, you tell me

i doubt they would have the heating elements pre-installed in the seats. I can see the wiring harness for the switches being already there though. If you indeed have the heating elements and all you needed was the switch...that would be sweet, but i dont think nissan would just throw away money like that.

As radioguy said, I doubt that it will have the elements in the seats. I could see that the the wiring was there but it could be that the whole harness consist of other wires for other things. Nissan would rather use one wiring harness for the car rather than having multiple harnesses that would be tailored for each model option.

Ight, I would guess the same. But, if I flip the seat over, what should I look for to see if it's heated or not?

As said, it's probably pre-wired to accept for the sake of economies of scale production.

Look under your seat and see if you see a harnes that's not used by the power adjustable motors.

Heated seats......got'em or not?

After dinner in Malibu Sat evening my wife and I headed up Topanga Canyon
back home. Temp was a nice 74 deesgrees so once we were thru the
canyon and back on flat land my wife yells "Damn" my seat heater was on
no wonder my butt was hot! So I guess we have the seat heaters you were
refering to........HAHA Switches are on the top the console just
above the cup holder....if you see 'em you got 'em if not you don't!

I would need to check my other set in the garage but I believe the seats are different. The harness in the car is the same but the seats without the heaters won't have those pins populated.

There are no extra harnesses. There must simply be extra pins in the original harness, just don't know which to look at.

Word, I think the same. Can you look at the two different sets and see if you see any extra wires leading to the main plug or something.

This sucks, I hate the previous owner of my car. How do you live in western PA and NOT get heated seats? Oh yea, he probly didn't drive this rwd car in the winter.

Dumb question, but I thought the heated seats were standard? Maybe not in the earlier models?

It is standard for 05-06, but not the earlier or new models. I think it's funny that the 07 doesn't have the heated seats standard. I'm waiting for cooling seats

Can you take a picture of the harness on the bottom of your seats? I'll get some shots of mine and we can compare.
