Help I need Help

My buddy that is putting my brakes on, just called me and said I need about 20mm of space because the calipers are hitting the wheel. He suggest me to get a 20mm spacer on my car. Well I got a 20X8.5 Sevas with a 40 offset, there is no way that a 20mm offset will work on my car. Do you think if I get a 20 mm spacers with the stock 17 will work.

I'd try to find some oem Coupe 17s/18s or Z 17s/18s. All of those clear the oem brembos and "should" clear this too. There's a set of 17" Zs on Craigslist.

He just texted me and said he put it all back to stock, so it looks like I either try again when I find some of those stocks or will be selling these to get something else.

I really hope my buddy is just playing with me and suprises me when I get there, but really doubt that he would take it this far and long.

What Sevas do you have? You got the Wilwood BBKs right?

I got the S22 and I got the kit with Wilwood calipers and brembo rotors. I am just wondering if I got the wrong brackets.

If you got the wrong brackets, I doubt the rotors would fit properly.

Never mind it wasnt the bracket. Its just the wheel spokes dont stick out enough to clear the caliper. I just talked to my buddy and he said a 15mm should be just perfect, but that would make my 20 to be a 25 offset and I still doubt that will fit my car.

I think I read somewhere about someone grinding down thier calipers a few mm's and powdercoating them. That might be a last minute option?

a 20mm spacer on the stocker's will work easily. That would put you at an effective offset of +25... i'm running a +30 on a 9" wide wheel right now and it doesnt even come close to rubbing. as for the sevas, you MIGHT be able to get away with a 15mm spacer, depending on how low the car is, you will have a chance of rubbing the fender when turning up a driveway and all that good stuff. The paint on the inside of my fender is gone from rubbing the front when going up driveways when my car was slammed.

Grant, how did tim clear his RB BBK up front with the Sevas S-55? Do the S-55 spokes stick out that much more?
