possible new g35 owner

i might possibly be a new g35 owner, but wanted some opinions.i have my eye on a new 2003 g35,auto,with sports package, spoiler, moonroof, bose 220 watt,it is silver w/black leather,it also has the winter package.i got the dealer down to 28,800.this sounds like a good deal to me.what do you think?btw i am trading in my i30 wich is a 2001 w48000 miles.they are willing to give me14k.that is the only problem i have.i might go for it though.let me know what ya think

Put a post like this on an enthusiasts site and expect an answer that says - No!!! of course you should get on with it. The G is a great vehicle and is much more responsive and overall better then the I30 you are trading. As for the dollars - a few bucks more or less thats up to you!

Sounds like a good deal to me I bought the same vehicle last June less the sport and aero package for 31,500... what's the sticker I am thinking it's got to be over 35K

Re: possible new g35 owner

try selling the car yourself instead of trading it in. maybe you can get more than what the stealer is willing to pay for your trade in

sticker is at 36k,i dont know if they are stock or aftermarket but the car has lower spoilers under the door sills and ones on the rear that wrap around half of the rear.are these stock?or do they sound like aftermarket?i think i will go for it if they still have it tommorow.i am gonna keep my fingers crossed.i think i passed up a good deal.

Re: possible new g35 owner

it's all numbers, I think he gave you such a great deal on the G35 because he's killing you on the trade in of the I30. I say go sell the I30 yourself and see if they're still willing to give you the same price on the G.

Sounds like a great deal to me. BUY IT! You will not be sorry. I paid way more then that and I'm still happy.

If it was me, I would buy the '04 model. Better resale down the road & a few more standard features (heated seats & side mirrors, etc.). I was presented with the same choice at the dealer. My '04 was only 30,500 with everything but nav + I got aero kit. Just my opinion.

What would that I30 bring in a private sale? What did it cost new?

Same here, I bought mine right after the '04's came out!

Re: possible new g35 owner

well i just got back from the dealer,he said he made a mistake.the g was gonna cost 32k.i told him to go f himself.i went to another dealer and picked up a 03 preowned w/8k mi,silver w/graphite,moonroof,premium package, winter package and tinted windows for 24k.they also gave me14k plus tax on my i30.i know i could have gotten more privately, but not much more after taxes.the only thing i do wanna do is add a spoiler.anyone know a good place?i pick the car up tues, cant wait.

Was that a used or a remaining '03? No matter, either way, that was way too much, you could get a '04 for close to that! Good choice, walking on that deal!

Re: possible new g35 owner

Ordered an '04 G35S for my wife, 6MT, w/aero (R01) & splashguards (B94) last week of January ('expect about a 12-13 week wait) for $29,750... but, I had to search a 400 mile radius to find the right dealer.
