Staggered tire question/ opinions on brands

k so im looking for a good setup in a 225/50/17 and 245/45/17 rear staggering but i want to put a good set of all seasons on them (coupe 17's), the current tires are the potenza Re92A V rated tires but are HORRIBLE in anythign other than dry weather. any suggestions on a good looking tire with higher treadwear :S and good all season traction? so far im leaning toward the Yoko Avid or the BFG Traction T/a in a 235/255 stagger because both are a V rated tire with a very high wet/cold and snow rating as well as high ratings for summer but a treadwear of only 300. the snow can get heavy here but its not really an issue becaue here in canada we have huge dedicated resources to snow removal (literally we get crappped on and its gone before it can accumulate). besides which i am a patient driver. price is also a concern...this is the whole reason i opted for a stock 17" setup instead of 18's or 19's.

I'd go with Bridgestone RE960AS pole positions, if you could shell out the money. They should be available in a 235/45 245/45 setup.

I don't know if you can get exactly those sizes, but the Bridgestone Turanza Serenity is a very nice tire. It is rated as a "Grand Touring" tire, but my experience has been that it performs as well as "High Performance" tires I have driven in the past.

And oh, yes: I stopped on a flat road in the rain and floored my G35x. I didn't even see the traction light come on -- it just launched.

Avids and BFG Traction TAs suck. I've had Avids and they were wet noodles. You need to be looking at something much higher than a V-rated tire. You need to be looking at atleast Z-rated tires and ideally W-rated. Get on Tirerack.com and look at your options. There are plenty of ultra high performance all season tires for reasonable prices.

Go with General Exclaim I'm not sure about that particular size but you won't get a better tire for the money. Dry/Wet traction is way better compared to my OEM. Tirerack is your friend when it comes to great prices on these tires. Good luck.
