My G is an 03 with 80,000+ miles on it, and I just had my first accident - this sucks.
My friend parked his truck outside my house on the street and was carpooling to work with me. I reversed right into his truck. Luckily I hit him square on his giant tire and did no damage to his vehicle - his truck is raised, my G is lowered so I at least had that working in my favor.
The G is probably going to need a new rear bumper and some work on the passenger side rear quarter panel. Only superficial damage, still drives fine.
I will try post pics later.

I would do that except the trunk isn't damaged at all, it's all the rear bumper and a little on the quarter panel. I am definitely going to get all the little dings and sratches in the paint sorted out. I figure I will get it back in perfect condition and then list it for private sale while it is still shining. I need to get something that I can take into the snow - I am thinking maybe a 3.35XI wagon or sedan. Possibly the new G, but the sports would be the one I really want and again that isn't doing me much good in the snow. Plus there is no local stealership here, I have to drive 100 miles to the nearest infiniti dealer and I have pretty much decided not to put myself in that situation again.
Ugh decisions. I hate unexpected situations like this but I'm gonna find a way to make the best of it like you suggest.
Thanks for the kind words Papa
