'in car' race cam video @ Laguna Seca ... finally!
At last ... I found someone to host the video. It's a slow server so be very patient as it comes in at a hefty 128 megs!
Check the bottom of this thread for the link.
Enjoy!
*** Anyone else who could help host please do so and PM me with the link!

Re: 'in car' race cam video @ Laguna Seca ... finally!
I managed to get it down to 1:55.xx.
Further attempts to better that were thwarted by the badly fading brakes. I have been giving rides all day long and did not try to hot lap solo until the end of the day. My stock non-Brembo brakes with Hawk HP+ front and HPS rear pads were pretty baked by then.

Ah, thanks for filling it what pads your running, sorry to hear about the bad fade, what kind of speeds were you at when it was time to hit the rotor's?

Coraanu,
Thanks for the compliments. They turn into an otherwise 'dull' cruise around the track a little drama![Smilie](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I'm not sure why Rylan's missing his rear bumper ... never got around to asking. No joke on the differential break-in, however. He was just on there putt'n around breaking in the new part ... getting ready for Sears Point the next day I believe. His car will walk away from mine if he'd been going all out.

Re: 'in car' race cam video @ Laguna Seca ... finally!
Gsedan35,
I was more than satisfied with how well the Hawk pads stood up to the abuse. They did much better than I had hope. I was already impressed with the HP+ pads when I first got it for Buttonwillow a few months ago. They performed admirably biting hard almost the entire day. I didn't sense any fade until the last few sessions. I later found out, my oem rear pads were completely gone, which probably increased the loads to the fronts and accelerated the fade. Even then the HP+ up front worked well enough to not realize something bad was going on at the back ... basically shrugged it off as a 'fade'. Doh! Another pleasant surprise came when I was ready to swap them out for the oem pads in daily driving. I discovered ~80% pad material still remains.
So for Laguna Seca, the same HP+ pads were called back for commission at the front. This time, I also got HPS (a less aggressive model) for the rear, as I know the OEMs will not last more than a couple of sessions at LS. Hawk does not make the HP+ for our rears, stating it was too aggressive for them. Total none sense! Heh.
Laguna Seca is particularly hard on brakes. Not so much the cause of high speed halts than the fact brakes are used frequently. I always brake very aggressively at tracks, so LS was no different. The HP+/HPS combo took the beating all day long. They felt great for half of the day, then they started to fade slowly. I was expecting it to since I was carrying passengers (~3800+ lbs. curb weight) and going at it pretty hard.
At the end of the day, all the pads definitely showed signs of fatigue ... about in line with what I would have expected. The HP+ front still had 15% left (that's damn good starting at 80%) and the HPS rear had ~15-20% left (definitely not as good as the HP+ ... remember, these were new).
How fast was I going? I really couldn't tell you since I never bothered to check. I shifted into 5th right around Turn-1, so probably just touching 110 mph before braking *really* hard for Turn-2.
