Re: HELP--> CREAKING!

Hey b0h, You in the cold climate? If so it may be ice or snow buildup. Could be suspension creaking. How about rubbers around the doors and trunk. Windows? try reclosing them.
Leather rubbing together? Seat belts loose? Armrest not seated properly. Spare tire loose? (mine was). Tools loose?
Something else I've noticed on my cars is the plastic bumpers and headlights creak sometimes.
Some of the guys have complained about noises around the rear deck (where the sub is). Check in the trunk too on that one: up high where the sub is located. Also in the trunk is thick styrofoam plastic flooring that creaks if it's not fit just so.
That's about all I can think of. Perhaps someone else has some suggestions too. Good luck

Re: HELP--> CREAKING!

gsedanman, it's exactly where the sub is!
how should i try to fix it? (well it seems like it's fromt he sub)

could it be the weather? meaning it'll go away in the summer?

Re: HELP--> CREAKING!

Depends how annoying it is. If it's that upsetting, I'd let the dealership find and fix it now. You might find the noise goes away in the warm sun on milder days, then maybe it'll go away come springtime. Little hard to nail down exactly where the problem is. I personally would wait and see if it goes away. It's been real cold lately resulting in funny noises from all over. Once this cold snap passes things should 'quieten' down. . Let us know what you find and what you decide. Good luck.

I've just done a quick search on this forum with good results.I entered in 'rear deck' and found some good ideas and possibilities. Thought you'd like to know.

Re: HELP--> CREAKING!

Hey dude, Yeh I'm on the western edge of the same 'tundra' you're in, hahahahaha (Cambridge). Man we haven't had cold like this for some years.
I've noticed only a few squeaks, rattles, knocks,and other funny noises.These cars are very tight. To me it's normal to get some noises. What I'm talking about isn't bothersome (to me). Stuff like that used to bug me a lot but not any more. Mine usually go away or change with the weather- especially damp weather, or cold weather, so to me it's easier to just wait. If it were something more serious then that's different--I'd have to get that looked at or poke around myself......
By what I read on the search, it seems to narrow down to the area around the sub. which needs adjusting or some extra padding or tightening.
Just a suggestion: Have you turned on some tunes fairly loud (maybe around 20) and gone back in the back seat and in the trunk to see what you could find? You might be able to poke and push and prod for some answers. Good luck..

Don't get too hot about it. I'd go to the dealership and tell them what you've told me: That you're upset and the noise is bothersome. I don't see how they can refuse to help. Give them a chance, I'm sure they will do everything they can.

Re: HELP--> CREAKING!

I am in Guam and I have creaking noises all over the place. The sunroof, the front dash, in the rear, and now my FR RT door is starting to creak. I dont think it has to do with the weather cause its always hot here. So if anybody figures this out let me know.

Re: HELP--> CREAKING!

b0h, sorry to hear about your problems ... Have you tried taking the G back to the dealer. You might be surprised how helpful they are at correcting rattles. There were lots of posts last summer when I first joined regarding problems with rattles. Most said that their experiences with dealers were very positive. There were a few that said dealers were no help.

I thought I heard a rattle in the rear deck. I was having tint installed within a week (he had to take out the rear deck) so I did not bother to take it back to the dealer. After the tint job I have not heard any more rattles from the rear.
