Very loud tone from the speakers when I turn the car on!
I took my 05 G35 Sedan into the dealer to get the faceplate changed(It was fading yellow). They swapped out the faceplate. However, now I hear a very loud, very high pitched tone when I turn on the car. The tone is actually coming from the speakers.
It makes the tone every time I turn the ignition on and it lasts for about 2 seconds. It is a single tone and it comes on even if the stereo is off. I brought it to the dealers attention immediately and he tried everything to fix it. Nothing would get it to shut off.
It sounds a bit like the tire pressure warning. However, it does not show any indicators on the dash. Do you have any idea what this could be? The service guy at the dealer said he was still checking into it but he had no idea what it could be.

It's been decades since I've played with car stereos but this might be feedback from the engine. If the high tone you hear could be described as a high-pitched whine, I believe it's because the system's not grounded properly... what you're hearing may be feedback from the engine (you're hearing the engine RPMs) through your speakers. Sorry I can't explain it better...hopefully someone else can chime in and give more detail, or tell me I'm completely wrong
By the way, you may want to post the same question in the "Audio, Video, and Electronics" forum...

Hi there, I have the same sound in my car too!
It sounds like a bad ground on the bose amp. I used to have this problem
on my old ride after installing a sub-amp, but it was 10Xlouder.
After finding a better ground for the amp it went away.
I havent bothered with the G because like you said it lasts for a few seconds and goes away.
Good luck
