I just picked up an 03 sedan with Nav and i'm wondering is the clock supposed to illuminate like everything else on the dash does. I turn on the lights and everything illuminates except the clock. I have to pull up the nav too see the time at night. Is there a setting or switch that I'm missing or is there a simple remedy to this problem??????

 

bulb is probably out, it should light up when you turn on your parking lights and/or headlights

I can be wrong but I believe (not 100% sure) the 03/04 does not have back lights on the clock. I think 03/04's don't have back light on the steering wheel buttons as well right? 05+ does...

 

no back light on steering wheel, but my clock does have a back light.

My 03 has 2 lights (left and right side) behind the clock. Pretty annoying because each one has gone out at different times.

 

There is a light for the clock, but not the steering whell controls, bulb is just our in the clock

 

there are 2 bulbs on the clock. one on the top right and one on the bottom left. they arent strong and if one goes out, you can barely see anything.

 

welcome...thats not really a bad question, especially since no one is ever familiar with a car they just bought right away.

 

I got my car used with ~32k on it and the clock was out too. Dealer replaced it.

 

my bulbs had vibrated loose.. I got lucky and found them as i was running a cable under my dash.. I put electric tape on the clock to make sure this didnt happen again.. LUCKY.
