So im NOT the only one! My car makes the rattle knock noise whenever i start it up and its cold. Sounds SO unhealthy. But it goes away and usually doesn't happen when its warm.

What you are hearing is the ABS self test. It will happen every time you start the car and move forward. It kicks in at ~ 1500 RPMs or 10 MPH, not sure the specifics. If you have your foot on the brake pedal when it happens you will feel it vibrate. It's perfectly normal.
