No updates. I know, I suck.

The body man who was going to do this for me just quit his job, and I don't knwo where he is. He was going to take this on as a project for cheap.....like $20 per hour!!!! I hope I can find him.

He was just pulling your leg. He knew he was going to quit, so he filled your head with nonsense. That sucks.
Good luck on finding another body man.

I wish you were out here. I have a body shop guy that would do this for a good deal too. But right now I don't have the time or money to take on another big project.

nahhh. The does great work; he was working for a guy who just does thunderbird restorations. The body guy is a "down on his luck" kind of guy, and this shop owner was really taking advantage of him...because he knew he could. They got in some argument, and the body guy quit. What really sucks is that my shop-warehouse is right next ot the thunderrid place, so the body guy was literally one bay over from me. Oh well.

I want to get going on this because my whole front end (bumper, hood, and fenders - rock chips and permanent bug and sap damage) needs repainting anyway. I might as well get the coupe stuff on there before I repaint.

I thought about doing this for many months, but didn't know how possible it was. Thanks for all the background work you did. Most bolts and stuff lined up, but the fenders had to be completely cut and custom fitted.

That looks amazing.

What did you do to the rears? Is that just a fender pull or did you glass in mild flares?

More pics please!

I love it Diesel!!!!

I never got around to doing it as the "body man" who was going to the work for me got fired...and that would mean that I would really have to pay someone to do it.

tell us about the rear flare....it is subtle, but looks great!, too!

Nah it wasn't possible to pull the fenders like this. They added fiberglass fender flares and then added alot of extra fiberglass to make it strong and look smooth.

Look in my other thread for more pics.

Great work, Diesel. That's the way the sedan should have come from Infiniti.
