Broken !!!!

I put my stock wheels back on tonight with my winter tires. While we were putting one of the wheels back on and tighten one of the stock lock lugs it broke. All we had on it was a ratchet. Anyone have any idea of how to get the rest of it out? We worked on it for awhile and broke more of it off and have tried to drill it with a real small drill bit but it isnt doing anything to it. Alot of it is almost all broke off . So far none of the threads on the stud is messed up so ... Also I guess Im going to get another set of lugs and locks and suggestions? My wheels as you can see from my sig are gunmetal. Spline drive, tuner or like the stock acorns any suggestions. I dont know anything about locks either so....

Thanks
Ben

If it was mine, I think I would drill out the stud. Start by using a center punch to indent the center of the stud, then use a center drill to make a pilot hole then drill out the stud working up in sizes untill you are the major diameter of the stud. This way you should not harm your wheel if you are careful and you will just have to replace the one stud.
It really should not be too bad, if you take your time. Use a cutting fluid when drilling and do not overheat the drill or stud.

This same thing happened to me. Do you have spacers on by any chance?

We had to take an air chizzle, pop out the stud from the wheel hub, and then we used a hack saw blade to cut the stud in half to get the wheel off. It was a pain. Good luck.

You'll need a new stud, and for reference, I purchased wheel studs from nissan for $5 each. When I paid, i told the girl that it was the most expensive bolt i ever paid in my life, she gave me an awkward smirk.
