mine is doing the same thing. I asked about buying a new one from the dealer and they said it was about $300.

I'd say remove it and get an upholstery shop to cover it with something nice. Should be under $100.

mines also doin that... but instead of the side, the entire middle is bulging out so it makes it a little harder to open. I'm thinking about just leaving it though, not too much of a bother. $300.00 for that is would glue be a possible fix?

Same problem here on my 03, except mine is the other side (left). I was thinking about using some glue, but I have no clue how to take it apart first. If you do glue it, let us know how to do it. Thanks.

So! just thought I'd ask if there's any update regarding glueing the compartment?!?! My car's still in the shop from my previous fender bender so I didn't get a chance to do anything about it yet... JNTHNs, have you tried anything yet? Oh, and my car is also an '04~

bumping an old thread but just wanted to let you guys know that I bought that nav compartment off of ebay from LKQ. It just arrived at my house and it looks like its in pretty good shape. I hope its not too much of a PITA to put it on. I'll keep you guys posted. oh and my current nav compartment is in reallly bad shape. virtually the whole upper portion is warped. anyway, this is a much cheaper alternative than going to the dealership and paying $300+ or w/e it costs to get a new one. I have an 03 and this box is off an 04 but it should be a direct replacement. anyone have anything I should look for before I try this swap?
