Crankshaft and Camshaft Sensors Interchangeable??

Anyone know? They look VERY similar, and apparently mine is bad. It's setting off the VDC OFF light and SLIP light in the dash, and when I step on the gas, the engine dies. Is it possible to just clean the sensor? (I guess I COULD just check) but does anyone know? If not, what does that sensor run from the Stealership?

I believe that one of the cam position sensors is swappable, but I can't remember if it's the straight one or the angled one.

Either way, go OEM. Hit up a Nissan dealership, it's nearly 2/3rds the cost of an 'Infiniti' sensor. I tried 2 sensors from AutoZone and from Advance... both crapped out within a few months.

Check Rockauto.com. They have good prices if you can afford to wait a few days for shipping.

Usually the OEM sensors are contracted out to various aftermarket companies. Unfortunately I do not know who makes the OEM sensor for Nissan. Usually you can save money buy buying that sensor, vs the stealership
