Puddle Lights (rice or not)

I've been interested in these for a while now but can't decide whether to get them or not.

If I get them, they will only come on when I press the unlock key on my car.

I think he's talking about water puddles.

If you are actually putting them on for a purpose, then I wouldn't consider it to be a ricer mod.

i think if the light reflected and was more spread over the ground, it would be better looking, than what they show on the site.

I don't think it's going to be too functional as even in the pictures, the lights output doesn't really spread out for you to see much. I'd prefer a neon or calthode tube that spread the light evenly. I simply replace my door light with white LED and it provide a glow to the floor when i open.

i don't want a more spread light output because in that case I would just go full neon underglow - that's rice esp for a G.

I like the isolated rather spot light effect - focused on one spot like the puddle lights do.

IMO, neon doesn't equate to rice if done tactfully. you can simply install a 12" tube right at the door so that only the area underneath the door would glow and not the whole car. full underglow is rice. IMO that would look more cleaner than 5 spots of light apearing under the car. or something like the subaru's light from below. Like have 1 spot per door and find a light that has a slight wider focus than those from the link you posted.

Looks better.

I know what your looking for though... My tahoe had lights in the mirrors and when I would disarm the alarm, those lights would turn on, lighting up the ground.

Sorry bro I dont like them at all and they have no function becasue they light up nothing. The ones for the Subi were better but we have lights in the doors so I see no need really unless your worried about seeing something before you get to the door.
