Did a couple weak revs since the engine wasnt quite warm. Forgive the crappy iphone 4s quality. I'll post some better videos once the weather warms up a bit more...

Sounds sick man, mind me asking how much you paid for the edge resonated test pipes? Is there any rasp at all? Also just to clerify your running the edge test pipes, stock y-pipe, coupe middy , and a muffler delete with just piping running to tips (no muffler) correct???

And how do you like the test pipes? Feel any power gains? Rasp? Because I just picked up a coupe exhaust, gonna be doing a muffler delete because I ran it on my old car and I loved it and I guy I picked up the exhaust from is selling edge resonated test pipes and now I'm considering buying them ( not sure what a good price is ether)

So just wondering if anyone else has modified there borla exhaust and how they did it, what did you remove/replace and does anyone have any sound clips? because one of the videos was taken down by the user and the other one has poor sound quality

Thanks everyone, hope someone has done this, if not ill be the first
I installed the borla catback on my sedan and am too looking for more sound. I'm not wanting to mess with the cbe itself unless I absolutely have to so I'm leaning towards some berk HFCs. Just trying to find enough clips to determine if I could handle the rasp. Do share if you come across any ideas!

What year is your car? Sedan I'm guessing? I'm interested in doing the same thing to my 2005 sedan.

Can you post a video of how the two sound together? I can't find anyone with just the coupe mid pipe and the HR Y

Thanks!

What are cat back options for my 05 g35x sedan? I know since I have a X sedan the AWD component gets in the way... Also I was looking at Magnaflow,HKS or Borla But i think im leaning towards a Magnaflow. So I was also looking for a coupe midpipe and test pipes how much should I be looking to pay for the coupe mide pipe? Is the Megan racing test pipes the best for HP and sound gains? I also heard HFC are good for the sound but not HP gains. Does anyone know where I can get the megan test pipes besides used? They are on back order till July Do they actually give you HP gains??

Get the Motordyne ART Pipes, Megan Racing Y-Pipe, and the Tanabe Y-back exhaust.

I was just going to get a muffler since there almost no problems I will have for installing since I have a X sedan. I'm looking through this thread and i'm still not sure if some of the Catbacks will fit my X sedan its funny because I was listening to a Fx35 and it sounds ALOT better then my car I want something similar to that. Also what should I be looking to pay for a coupe midpipe used? Im asking because I don't want to get jipped hahaha. For exhaust I was just going to do quad tips but it doesnt seem like its worth it, i'll just do some kinds of catback with a coupe midpipe any suggestions? Is there anyone out there wiht a X sedan and got a pretty good exhuast setup? Most videos I watch on sedans it doesnt say if its an X or not so im really confused.

yeah back then it was the tps, stock y, coupe mid, and a muffler delete.
it lost a bit of low end, feels pretty sluggish down low. but it feels like the gears are never ending up top now. the edge pipes are great for the fact alone that they dont have a sh*tty flex pipe on them. and the 02 bungs are in a position so that you can do the nonfouler trick without having to buy the 90 degree elbow.

any how it was stupid loud in the 115db range so i now have a 4" body 2.5" magnapack inplace of the coupe mid, and a 14" magnaflow oval body in the rear. much more tame and i got SOME low end back.

Not sure at all about exhaust for the AWDs...I'd just search the forum.

HFC add HP but yeild even more with a tune. Really best thing is just to search around here. ART pipes are most power/least rasp/most costly. If you're buying test pipes make sure you can handle the smell.
