Battery + Brake (!) leds ON

Hi guys

I had my cabin and oil filter replaced today and an hour after driving my Battery and Brake (!) LED lights came on. I turned the car off and it didn't turn on when I restarted the engine. Unfortunately after an hour of driving they are back on and they will not turn off. Any idea what it might be? They are not completely lit, the are dimmer than when turning the key to the second position.

That is a combo I have not seen before.

Did the dealer do it? If so take it back!!!

That's your tire pressure sensor going off. Put some air in your tires.

the
{!} symbol in the lower left of the instrument panel is the TPMS. It should flicker like the rest of your warning lights when you start your car. Look it up in your owners manual. All 06 models had them standard and older years were an option.

If it is the TPMS, all G35 (2003+) have them.
If not, take it back to dealer.

you have 2 or 3 lights on? The battery, brake, and (!) lights are all on?

I know from previous Nissan's the battery light + brake light = bad alternator.

I didn't know that, I wonder if it is still the same.

Yes the ! is the TPMS. The brake and battery is the one that has me lost. I've never seen that combo on at the same time.

well took it to the dealer -

they say it's the alternator, it's charging but something is wrong with some diod on it?

They basically told me to drive it until it dies, and they wont replace it since it has nothing to do with and oil change

so 650 to fix it or drive with annoying leds? i might just take then out

Are you still under warranty? Maybe get a second opinion on this one. I personally wouldnt "drive it till it dies", because once the alternator goes out, you are then soley relying on battery power to run all your accessories, which will drain your battery fairly quickly. I would just get it replaced by a reputable mechanic, $650 is a little steep because its from the dealer.

No warranty
Well it's making a charge so it wont hurt driving it for now, I think it's just a ground cable on the alt, but who know? Getting a wheels bearing replaced on thursday, going to get a second opinion then. If it's the alt, then i'm going to do it my self.
