Wherever you take it, don't take it to the dealer to be repaired. That will be the most expensive option.

Well after starting it on Thursday the light was gone, I had my mechanic check and he could see nothing wrong. He thinks it might have been a loose belt?

I'm actually having the same issue. They come off and on. I noticed when it comes on my daytime running lights start to flicker and i can hear a slight buzzing sound. the headlights still shine bright though and all the accesories are running fine. Any ideas?

i just had the same issue after starting the car with one wheel jacked up
i was just checking for an oil leak .
the light came on suddenly, i dropped the car back down, and when for a drive...
about 5 minutes later, the 2 lights went away.
i check the voltage while the lights were on, and the voltage was around 13.8-13.9v
when the 2 lights were on, they were both very dim
alot more dim that if you had the engine off with the key in the "on" position.

Damn! my original problem with the battery and brake light is back, it's been almost two years since i've seen this.
I let the car sit for 2 days, there was some real heavy rain but now it's just below freezing point.

Battery is fine and alt is fine i get 14.6 when the car is on and 12v when off.

any ideas?

i have the EXACT same problem right now, 5 months ago my brake and battery LEDS were on, when this happens to the Gs Ive read its a charging system problem, I changed the battery and Alt and it was fixed, just yesterday the lights reappeared, now I have a DIODE issue, they say check ALL connections make sure no corrosion or loose wiring. If wiring checks out, new Alt it is..

Battery and break lights (!)

Hi, my battery and brake lights are on initial they would go on and off then they would dim but now they are on constantly. I was wondering if anyone had similar problems and what you think it could possibly be. I've change the battery and alternator but the lights still remain on.
