G35 not designed for the snow!

After getting two feet of snow here in Northern Colorado, I've learned that the G35 was not designed to drive in it! Holy crap! I will say that the traction control is designed incredibly well! It has saved me multiple times from sliding off the road, except for once but no damage was done.

It would probably help if I had snow specific tires, but I can't see spending $800 to drive in it a couple times a year. It would probably be better if I had 4 wheel drive, but not much.

I got stuck in the parking lot at church on Sunday! The traction control wouldn't allow the wheels to spin so I just sat there. I was able to play with it a little bit and finally got going.

After saying this, the G35 isn't near as bad as the 350Z! Some poor guy in my condo complex has one! Poor guy was snowed in for two days!

its rear wheel drive so of course its not goin to be good in snow..not unless you have snow tires or some shiet..AWD is the way to go.

be extra careful, my slip light lights up every single time I turn if there is any type of snow or ice on the ground even when i am going under 10 miles an hour.

$800 is a small price to pay for your safety or don't drive your G in the snow. I've got winter tires and have no problems at all driving the G in the winter. Glad you're OK but don't risk it man.

put a set of good snows on first.... you should know that there is always a trade off between performance and snow drive-ability...

don't mention awd since it really only helps u accelerate but not to get around a corner (assume that you dont don't accelerate OUT of a corner in snow lol) or braking...

With all season rubber and a decent tread depth (40%+), you can easily drive a G35 in 4" and less of snow. I've personnally driven in up to 8" of snow (only certain streets) and that wasn't too much fun, but luckily the tires were new. Here in Kansas City we get maybe 4 to 8 days where there is actually 1" to 4" of snow on the roads. There's really no point for me to invest in snow rubber. If we get a huge dumping, I just don't go into work or I'll take my wife's AWD Legacy, aka Snow Cat.

Even with snow tires you "have" to respect the conditions on the road.

Today was first time driving in snow with the g. Maybe 5in or more in some spots. 2 blizzak tires in rear with a manual transmission wasnt too bad. Way better than my 240sx was but my old 05 silverado kills it haha o god i missed that truck today. I keep the rpms low and drove slow i and it was fine.
