Swapped my clock

I did the I30 clock swap with a buddy of mine. Took his white clock, he took my black one. It looks better in both cars, because he had black interior and mine is willow....

This thread made me want to do it. https://g35driver.com/forums/interior/172090-i30-clock-swap-pictures.html

Even swap, for free, and looks good.

Pretty easy to do. Once you pull both clocks out, you have to actually open up the clocks and swap internals. 4 screws in front holding the face and 2 screws in the back holding the inside "guts". took about 10 minutes. I have Orange LEDs in my clock, and I put white LEDs in his.

Mine...

And his now...

Question. Exactly how hard to you have to pull on the bottom of the cover to get it off? I thought I was going to destroy that plastic piece and I still didn't get it out. Wimped out

You do have to give it a tug...

Thanks guys for all your comments. I really think this is how the clocks should have come. It's great at night too. REAL EASY to see....

Looks very nice. I'd like more info on hooking up LEDs in there. Both of my lightbulbs burned out and now I can't read the clock at night. Or does anyone make a classy looking digital replacement?

That looks great but how does it look with no other white in the interior?

the white face clock is much easier for the eyes.
