Door weatherstripping

I have a 04 g35x and my rear right door that has the weatherstrip molding or whatever it is that goes all along the door side is coming off and it sometimes scraps the tire when it starts to hang and come off. I took it into warranty and thats not factory on the 04 cars. He said someone put it on aftermarket. Where do I get this stuff? It is black. I thought of just getting some silicone to push it back on the edging.

Sounds like he's talking about the moudling in the rear fender lip like how the older Honda's used to have.

The part im talking about is a foam type rubber material that goes along the top all the way around the interior border of the door panel. Pretty much a weatherstrip. I'm thinking this is your problem. Doesnt matter what color your car is. The adhesive bonds to the inside of the foam part to the metal of the car door. It is not Gorilla Glue.

This is it:

I don't think thats what he is talking about though since the dealer said it wasn't covered under warranty (aftermarket part). The weaterstripping you are speaking of comes stock on all Gs

Still no picture?

Are you talking about "stripping" where the RED arrow is or where the YELLOW arrow is? See picture below.

03-06 sedans have weather stripping attached to the door where the RED arrow is as well as another rubber gasket attached to the inside of the door. (or maybe I am wrong?)

If you are speaking of a strip attached to where the YELLOW arrow is, thats aftermarket.

If it was me, I would try to re-glue it. If it didnt stick, order some new ones and replace them all so they will match. I don't know where you can get them.

Good luck
